Question: Is french or italian food known specifically to go with marlborough sauvignon blanc?

Classically speaking, this wine should NOT go with strong flavored foods. Avoid serving with game, beef, lamb, or heavy sauces like tomato. Fish, seafood, chicken, and pork will all compliment the wine. For medium bodied white wines, like sauvignon blanc, I would recommend an herb-crusted baked fish, a scampi, or perhaps something in a light cream sauce.
