What does "blanc de blancs" mean in regards to wine?

Question: What does "blanc de blancs" mean in regards to wine?

Wondering about a sparkling wine called Schramsberg from california and how to describe it at a restaurant. dry, sweet, etc... Thanks

In this case, it was probably made exclusively from the Chardonnay grape. The term is pretty much only used to describe sparkling wine. Schramsberg is a good California producer, so that's good news for you. I would describe it as a dry wine.

Wine labeled "blanc de blancs " is made from Blanc (white) juice from Blanc(white) grapes like Chardonnay, Semillon Blanc etc. as opposed to white wine made from Red grapes like Pinot Noir, Shiraz (or Syrah if you are drinking French) Grenache etc. As to the description of the Californian..why not taste it yourself and write what YOU think it tastes of
