Question: Can someone please explain wine,red,white,shiraz,cabernet, how wine is made, where it comes from etc etc ?

Explain it to me like i am a 6 year old. and... does Queensland make good wine, like WA or SA or whatever.

In very simple terms; Wine is made from fermented grapes. The colour of the grape determines the colour of the wine. So a red grape makes red wine and a green grape makes white wine. The type of grape determines the type of wine. So a Shiraz grape will be different to a Merlot or Cabernet grape. I don't know of any wineries in Queensland, but a quick google search shows the 'Granite Region " is just north of the NSW boarder. NSW also has the Hunter region and there are a number of good wine regions in Victoria. It could be argued that SA has the highest number of good wineries in Australia, While WA has the Swan region and the Margaret River. All of them produces quality wines that sell all over the world.
