Reliable cork information
I lost my wine cork, what can I use?
I didn't actually lose it...rather I didn't have the corkscrew in the first place and accidentally was trying to pull it out with a metal thing pushed it into the bottle So now it's floating " 3Any suggestions on how to cork it? I was thinking simply putting it in the fridge since that would slow any deterioration however it would take in all the scents and odors of the fridge and since it's a dorm that would be a bit gross...weeks old pizza and musky beer. lovely . Sorry my typing is a bit off because I was already drinking I apologize. Any suggestions?

Question about wine gone bad (corked bottles, double fermentation, etc)?
Hello. I am a server and tonight I opened a bottle of pinot noir for a table. A few minutes after I poured the wine it started to fizz in the glass it looked like sparkling wine. What would cause it to do this? Thanks in advanceUpdate I tasted the wine and it seemed fine to me. The other thing I should have mentioned in my original question only one glass fizzed. I poured two glasses and only one was fizzing and it was very minimal fizzing. The bubbles didn't fill the glasss like a sparkling would, the bubbles were just on 1 2 of the bottom of the glass. Thanks again

How do I insert a cork with a "Screwpull" wine opener?
I was given a " Screwpull" wine opener. It is supposed to remove and re insert the cork. I know how to remove the cork, but I don't know how to adjust it to reinsert the cork.No instructions came with it, I'm not that dumb also, the manufacturer IS " Screwpull" . I can't find a site for them.

Anyone know which shiraz wines use natural cork?
We read an article about how buying natural cork helps the environment, but of 7 bottles of shiraz that we've bought, all have had plastic corks. Anyone know a good shiraz with natural cork?Read an article in National Geographic about how buying cork products helps endangered birds as the producers will keep planting new cork trees while there is demand for the product. and says that with new higher standards and oversight of cork production the risk of a bottle being contaminated is less than 1 %
Cork as a plug? I just want to know.?
I'm not actually putting this into my story that i am writing, but I'm thinking about maybe making an adventure game about my story. But, to make a long story short, my character Arthur is searching for his lost son Marcus, and has to leave his island to find him. Arthur is a bartender. Now to leave his island, obviously, he has to leave by boat tiny rowboat in this case . He buys the little rowboat for a surprisingly cheap price and sets out on his journey. But, do you know why the boat was so cheap? BECAUSE THERE ARE HOLES IN THE BOTTOM OF IT Now... if this were an adventure game, they would ask you 'Well? Do you have something to plug up the holes with?' and if you shake your head " No " then the boat will sink and poor Arthur will drown he unfortunately cannot swim , if you nod your head " Yes " Arthur will get the corks he has in his pocket out IF you picked them up at the beginning of the game, otherwise you'll automatically drown anyway and stick them in the holes and stop the boat from sinking. Now, is this actually possible? CAN a few corks from a bar stop water flowing into a rowboat?
