We are having a party and bought a huge bottle of grey goose and as we were using the cork screw we accidenly turned it the wrong way and now the cork is stuck near the bottom of the neck and it's too far to get out with the cork screw? How can we get it out? Thanks

Take a pencil or some other long, thin but still durable wood thingy and poke the cork down into the bottle. You're not going to get the cork out at this point. It shouldn't affect the flavor but you'll have to find another top for the bottle.

Do you have a power drill? Drill a hole in the cork. Problem solved

Ok try this if you have a metal coat hanger .straighten the hanger out at on end of the hanger it will look like a swisty cork screw push the hanger in to the( bottom) of the cork if it has gone all the way in (smaller at that end)as far as you can without breaking it right? then pull it up untill it gets to the neck of the bottle take the bottle opener end of wine tool or (plierers) and hold cork so that you can remove hanger and try agian with cork screw worked for me several times during caterings (even if cork goes into bottle make it a drinking game)
