I'm not much of a wine drinker but want to be. I realize wild vines blackberry is kind of just a big wine cooler. I was wondering if I drank wild vines for a while would I start liking real wine? What are some real wines that taste good like wild vines. for a wine rookie.

I buy this a lot actually to make coctails but if you are new to wine, try adding some regular red wine to the blackberry merlot so that the wine flavor is stronger. If you like it, then try just the red wine itself. Wild Vines is much sweeter and not as potent as regular wine. If you want to try out some good wine and not spend a lot of money, go to Trader Joe's. They have really good wine and it's not at all expensive. Cabernets and Moscatos are good. Not too strong and more light and smooth.

Wine coolers are made sweet by adding sugar to make it taste sweet. Most wines most are dry and it depends on your own taste on which wine may taste a little sweet. The less drier red wines for example are red zinfandel, pinot noir or merlot from California.
