Anything with the word yellow in it I would avoid.

My husband loves the Yellow Tail Merlot. I hate merlot. I love pinot. And yes Yellow Tail Pinot is crap because the only good pinot is grown in NZ or Tassie (or France) in cool cool climate and a drinkable one will cost you $20 a bottle (not $10 like Yellow Tail) and a top of the line NZ one from the Central Ortago region like Peregrine will set you back $50 a bottle.

Because any wine grown outside Italy or France is crap in general. Plus a lot of you ignoramous's don't even realise that wine tastes different depending on where you drink it i.e. all wine tastes very acid in Britain whereas if you drink the same wine in Italy or France it tastes fine. Also: any wine from New Zealand/ Australia/ California or any other non-wine producing country is ridiculous. How come they have to steal the grapes from Italy or France? Oh that's right because vines are not native to that country i.e. it doesn;t naturally grow there...hence they haven't got a clue about wine and should just give up making that crap. Spain is inferior to France and Italy in terms of wine...but at least they HAVE their own wine grapes and don;t have to kidnap Italian or French ones. New Zealand wine...good...LOL...yeah to someone who doesn;t know p!ss from wine.

Yellowtail is a mid to low range wine, for the price point it is at, it actually is quite acceptable, i would recommend you give other wines in there range a try, the merlot in the red and the pinot gris and chardy in the white i would recommend

Well, first yomomyomomomom is schockingly ignorant about wine. But the reason Yellow Tail pinot noir tastes like crap is because pinot noir is a notoriously difficult grape to grow and vinify. When it's good, it's spectacular. When it's not spectacular, it's awful. Since they are going for a value-priced wine, they are probably using what other vineyards have discarded.
