Reliable pinot information

I'm always looking for some nice red wines, what about pinot noir? $20?

I would pay more now and then, if you think there is a perfect choice. I know it is preference, but... give me suggestions. I prefer something that does not overwhelm me upon sniffing - like not TOO alcoholicy. I gravitate toward the French wines - they just interest me. I don't tend to like the German wines. I have always liked various Red Wines and just bought a pair of cool glasses on sale but they are supposed to be best for Pinot. So, i may pose another question for other varieties, but here i specifically hope to find PINOT NOIR wines that i should try - and if they are under $20 then - GREAT! Thank you very much for your input - i will try as many suggestions as i can afford in search of a favorite. I SHOULD NOT LEAVE OUT NAPA VALLEY OF COURSE - they are good for Pinot, right? Thanks. Sorry. Thanks to all my friends for this input! Yeah, if good Pinot costs $30 and up, so be it, cuz i don't drink that much or that often. I can spring for a bit more. My main concern IS taste. To me it is a waste if you buy a wine for ten bucks less but it tastes like lighter fluid to you. So, all these suggestions are great! Thanks so much.

I live in the Napa Valley and a good Pinot Noir is truly hard to find. But we have a wonderful store in Calistoga called The Wine Garage. Most of everything they sell is $20 and under. We shop there often. Check out the wine garage.net

Good pinot noir under $30.00 is hard to come by. I like Sanford from santa rita hills in Calif. And of course Burgundy is famous for pinot noir, look for anything that is a premier cru (1er cru), but we are talking $30 and up here.
