Pinot gris is a white wine grape, pinot noir is a red wine grape. Hope that helps!

Pinot Gris (aka Pinot Grigio) is a white wine and Pinot Noir is a red wine.

The difference is the color. Pinot Gris is a white wine variety, Pinot Noir is a red wine variety.
