Question: We found two wines: almaden pinot noir from possibly 1978 and mont st. john carneros gewurztraminer 1990.?

I doubt it. just like i doubt you have a climate controlled wine cellar. i would imagine they have turned. call a wine store tho, but i bet they'll tell you the same thing.
