Question: Is winemaker's pinot noir 2007 a sweet wine?

I only like sweet wines i dont like the bitter ones. Ive never tried this i would like to know if its sweet. please help! Thanku!!

No. But Pinot Noirs are pretty good dry red wines. If you want sweet wines, try the following... 1. Whites - Try a Riesling. Columbia Winery Cellarmasters Riesling is a good domestic. If you're going for a German, look for either Auslese and Spatlese on the label. They're sweeter. 2. Reds - There is a nice sweet red wine from Germany called a Dornfelder. They can be a little difficult to find, but it's pretty interesting.

Pinot Noir is normally rated a #1 wine, which means it is a dry wine, which contains less sugar, and dry wine is not bitter. If you prefer sweeter wines don't try Pinot Noir. Try looking for a wine that is higher than a #2, or #3

To answer your question ; 1. 'All' Pinot Noir wines, no matter the winery, technically, are categorized as dry wines. 2.The bitterness you mention comes from the tannins found in red grape skins. 3. If you were ever to want to try a dryer wine, Pinot Noir would be the correct one to start with as it is the 'softer'(less tannins) than any other red wine.

Here's a trick for finding "sweet " wines. The lower the alcohol % the "sweeter " the wine and the higher the alcohol % to "drier " (less sweet) the wine! Most blush wines contain lower alcohol % and therefore they are "sweeter ". Hope this helps!
