Question: Why do they serve a glass of water when i order a glass of wine?

Each bar/ restaurant has their own reasons, usually people will ask for a glass of water when drinking red wine because it dries out your mouth. For the bar, it makes sense because it means the person is going to be able to drink more by staying hydrated as well.
