I'm on facebook, and i'm trying to make excellent blend to make more money! I'm considering these two blends! Are they any good? I am playing My vineyard, and i'm trying to get a higher rating ony my wine in the game. Assume all grapes are of average quality!

I'm from wine country born and raised.... First of all,a good vintner has years of college/ chemistry and on hands experience through trial and error, they are lucky to be recognized locally for a ho hum blend. The competition is stiff, and extremely fierce. In my opinion, Napa valley and north of Napa valley(Alexandar valley) is where the best wine is made. If your interested in lealrning about wine,I suggest you start by trying some different wines from that region.

Sorry, but you're not ready for this. First of all, not all Merlots, Pinot Noirs, and Viogniers are the same. Whether or not the blend will work depends on a huge variety of factors (e.g., age, origin, vintage, etc.). Second, there are hundreds of professionals who do this that I'd be more likely to trust than someone hawking homemade wine blends on Facebook. Third, how are we supposed to know if they're good if we haven't tried them? Fourth, have *you* tried them? If so, why are you asking us? EDIT: Oh, well that's an entirely different story. I'd suggest asking the question again in the games section and specifying that you're playing "My Vineyard. " Good luck!

The first two didn't realize you were playing a game. I would not make the #2 mix, at all. Merlot, Pinot doesn't really do too much for me either, but in the game it might work. What might work better is if you throw in about 10% Zinfandel and take out some of the Pinot. I would mix mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with some Merlot, and a little bit of Cabernet Franc. That would be a good mix.
