A cabernet sauvignon and merlot blend would be great, yellow tail has bottles that are about ten dollars. I would recommend a red wine, probably almost any cabernet would be fine, especially if you're going for cheap. |

Why not a Chianti - It fits your price range and its a very nice Italian wine |

Well I am a fan of Yellow Tail. It's anywhere from $6-$8 a bottle and it's quite tasty. But any red wine will do. |

Carlo Rossi is the brand, and the type is Paisano. |

I would definitely choose a high acid red if you are using a tomato-based sauce because tomatoes are high in acid and that will make for a beautiful pairing. Check out a red from Southern Italy like a Salice Salentino made from the Negroamaro grape, a Sangiovese based wine from Tuscany, or a cheap Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. |
